Lanovoy was hospitalized after becoming infected with the coronavirus on January 2 and was under an eyedropper for the past 20 days. On January 28, he was transferred to intensive care. By then, the actor had already passed a negative coronavirus test.

The Telegram channel Baza reported today that the actor suffered clinical death and his condition was valued by doctors as very serious.

Lanovoy is known for his roles in movies “Pavel Korchagin “,” Scarlet sails “,” War and peace “,” Seventeen moments of spring “,” Days of the turbines “.

In 2014, he signed a collective letter of Russian cultural figures in support of the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding Crimea and Ukraine.

In 2015, the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine introduced Lanovoy to a list of Russian cultural figures who are prohibited from entering the country because they pose a threat to their national security.
