On Thursday, January 21, a member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was killed by sniper fire from the Russian Armed Forces.
This was reported on the page of the operative-tactical group “Este” on Facebook. The Ukrainian army responded to the fire.
“Today, January 21, the armed formations of the Russian Federation once again violated the ceasefire and opened sniper fire in the area of responsibility of the operational-tactical group Vostok,” the message says.
At the same time, on the Facebook page of the 36th Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mikhail Belinsky, it was clarified that in addition to sniper fire, the bombardment was also carried out from grenade launchers of various systems and mortars.
At the same time, the Marine Corps launched suitable retaliatory attacks to force the enemy to stop firing.
The leadership of the military unit and the police military service task force are working at the scene.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, on January 11, as a result of the shelling from the side of the Russian mercenaries, a Ukrainian soldier was killed, which became the first combat defeat of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2021.
He was also shot by an enemy sniper. Then the Ukrainian side sent a note to the OSCE.
