In Ukraine, gas suppliers will be obliged to offer “annual rates”. As a result, in the summer, each family will be able to order a volume of gas for a year at a fixed cost and pay in equal installments.
This will significantly reduce the cost of blue fuel. The fact is that in summer gas can be 50-60% cheaper than in winter. So if you buy in the “off” season immediately for a year, you can pay less. The order to develop and implement long-term contracts at the January 20 cabinet meeting was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal.
“All gas supply companies should provide people with their annual products this spring. By the end of the month, I hope that the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Social Policy, together with NEURC and the Antitrust Committee, will develop long-term instruments. to balance the natural gas market, that is, people must understand, anticipate and calculate their household expenses, ”said the Prime Minister.
Note, As of February 1, the gas tariff will be fixed at 6.99 UAH per cubic meter for all providers. This price will be fixed until the end of the heating season, until March 31, 2021.
Starting in February, Ukraine will also set the maximum rate for gas supply (the so-called monthly rate). Now it reaches 2.45 UAH, and according to the new rules, it will not be more expensive than 1.79 UAH per cubic meter. If your regional gas now asks for less per cubic meter, nothing will change.
