The singer was blacklisted for his visits to occupied Crimea and the justification for the Russian aggression.

Russian artist Philip Kirkorov will not be able to enter the territory of Lithuania for five years, since he was included in the list of undesirable people in the country. In particular, the singer was banned from visiting the country because of his support for the occupation of Crimea, Interfax writes.

We have an unequivocal position on the issue of such artists, so there was no question that Kirkorov was included in the list of undesirables. in Lithuania, “said Interior Minister Agne Bilotaite.

Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielyus Landsbergis ordered Kirkorov to be added to the national list of foreigners who are prohibited from entering the country. He stressed that Kirkorov repeatedly visited the occupied peninsula and “deliberately denied the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and thus illegally justified the aggressive actions of the Russian Federation.”

Landsbergis also added that Vilnius will not stop there and provide a proper assessment to all citizens that the Russian Federation “uses to promote its foreign policy and influence the people of Lithuania.”
