Ukraine ranked 25th in the ranking of military power

When compiling the list, the analysts took into account the percentage of GDP that countries spend on military spending.

Ukraine was ranked 25th in the Global Firepower military power rating, which assessed the potential military power of 138 countries.

The annual GFP ranking is based on the percentage of GDP that countries allocate to military spending.

So in 2021 Ukraine ranks 25th out of 138 countries. States are classified according to potential military strength. Ukraine has a rating of PwrIndx * 0.4413.

It is observed that each nation is evaluated on the basis of individual and collective values processed through a formula. Factors ranging from military strength and finances to logistics capabilities and geography are assessed. The ideal estimate of PwrIndx is 0.0000, which is really unattainable with the current formula. The lower the value, the more powerful the nation’s theoretical combat capability.

The top four positions in the ranking are held by the US, Russia, China and India.

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that funding for the defense sector will only grow and that developing the Navy’s combat capability remains a top priority.

It was also reported that since the new year, the Ukrainian army has adopted two new rifles.
