Entrepreneur Jeff Bezos’s Blue Origin aerospace company plans to conduct a second test flight of its launch vehicle and New Shepard spacecraft in late February.

The US private aerospace company Blue Origin, founded by businessman Jeff Bezos, plans to take the first tourists to space in April. This was announced on January 14 by CNBC, citing sources.

Blue Origin successfully completed the fourteenth test flight of its launch vehicle and New Shepard on January 14, one of the last remaining steps before the company sends its first crew into space.

This flight was the first of two test flights, the second scheduled for late February. If it is also successful, Blue Origin wants to send the first tourists into space in early April.

Blue Origin was founded in 2000 by Bezos and now has more than 3,500 employees and is based in Kent, Washington. To date, Blue Origin has successfully launched New Shepard 14 times and landed a booster rocket 13 times in a row.

The New Shepard ship is designed to transport people on trips out of space at an altitude of more than 100 km and is designed for six people.
