On Friday, January 14, the test tests of the gas pipeline will begin in the territorial waters of Denmark.
In the second half of January, the restoration of pipes already laid in Danish waters will begin and the laying of new ones will begin.
According to the construction schedule document, the Fortuna pipeline ship will complete the works in Danish waters in the middle of the last week of May, after which it will operate in German waters, where construction of the first branch should be completed by the end of June.
The expected speed of laying pipes with Fortuna is 400 meters per day. The completion date may be delayed due to difficult drilling results and weather conditions.
It was previously reported that the Danish engineering company Ramboll withdrew from the project for the construction of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. The company fears US sanctions.
In early January, it was reported that the Norwegian company DNV GL refused to certify the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline after construction was completed. The decision is related to the US sanctions on the pipeline.
The United States is known to be preparing a new package of sanctions against the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. The United States Department of State has already warned European companies that are assisting in the construction of the pipeline about possible sanctions.
