In February, Ukrainians will receive the first payments for electricity with the new tariffs. On average, the amounts will increase by 78 UAH.
This is stated in the OBOZREVATEL material. So since January 1The preferential rate for the first 100 kWh of electricity was canceled. If earlier, for example, for 100 kW * hour it was necessary to pay only 90 UAH (and for each following kW * hour already for 1.68 UAH), from January 1, 2021, a single tariff will operate. And instead of 90 UAH, you will have to pay 168 UAH.
At the same time, at the end of June, special obligations were established to sell electricity to state-owned companies. What does that mean? Probably in April they will return to the issue of the cost of electricity.
Most of the experts interviewed agree: the cost of electricity had to be increased for a long time, but this was not done due to the unpopularity of such a decision… A member of the National Energy and Public Utilities Commission (NEURCU), on condition of anonymity, explained: Two years ago Ukraine developed a plan to review tariffs, but it was never implemented.
