The United States imposed sanctions on Ukrainians

Seven Ukrainians and four news sources fell under US sanctions

Sanctions were introduced against Ukrainians and Ukrainian organizations due to “interference in the elections”.

The US Treasury Department announced on Monday, January 11, the imposition of sanctions against citizens and organizations of Ukraine due to “interference in the elections.”

The list includes 7 citizens and 4 information resources of Ukraine.

In particular, the resources of TOV Era-Media, the information agency Only News, Nabuleaks and TOV Skeptic, also known as Begemot Media, fell under the sanctions.

Among those on the lists are People’s MP Alexander Dubinsky, Dmitry Kovalchuk, Konstantin Kulik, Alexander Onishchenko, Anton Symonenko, Andrey Telizhenko and Petr Zhuravel.

The US Treasury Department believes that the individuals and organizations included in the sanction list are part of “a network of influence related to Russia related to (the people’s deputy) Andrei Derkach”, which was sanctioned last September.

Recall that a month ago the Russian authorities extended the sanctions list against Ukraine to 849 people, including more than 200 deputies.
