The maximum throughput of the gas pipeline is 27.5 billion cubic meters of gas per year. In Otvitsa, not far from Khomutov, a gas compressor station was built to increase the pressure of the gas, which loses for many kilometers. The construction of the gas pipeline began in 2017 and cost 540 million euros.

Nord Stream 2 will avoid transit states: Ukraine, Belarus, Poland. Its launch could result in the loss of billions of dollars in the transit of blue fuel. The cost of the “pipeline” is about 9.5 billion euros. This is one of Gazprom’s most expensive projects. German companies also participate. They want to supply gas from Russia directly to Germany.
