President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed on Monday, January 4, a decree on the provision of humanitarian aid to Croatia.
According to the document, the Cabinet of Ministers will provide humanitarian aid to Croatia to overcome the consequences of the emergency.
Earlier, Zelensky expressed his condolences to the Croatian people in connection with the earthquake that killed people.
“Ukraine is praying for all those who suffered this disaster and wants strength and endurance,” the president wrote on social media.
Recall that the strongest earthquake in Croatia occurred on December 29, but the tremors continued for several days. The central part of the country, in particular the cities of Petrina and Sisak, suffered the most. In some regions of the country a state of emergency has been declared.
On December 31, the EU activated its civil protection mechanism to provide assistance to Croatia.
