Ukraine will provide Croatia with humanitarian aid to overcome the consequences of the powerful earthquakes. The corresponding decree was signed on January 4 by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.
This was reported by the press service of the Presidency.
According to the decree, the cabinet of ministers must provide humanitarian aid to Croatia.
We remember, powerful earthquakes occurred in Croatia on December 29. The tremors continued for several more days. The central part of the country, in particular the cities of Petrina and Sisak, suffered the most. As a result of the earthquake, more than 13 thousand objects were destroyed or damaged.
Please note that as a result of the earthquakes in Croatia, Ukrainian citizens were not injured. At the same time, the building of the Ukrainian embassy in Zagreb was damaged.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine wrote that as a result of the earthquakes in the city of Petrinya, a 12-year-old girl died and dozens of people were injured.
It was also reported that President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his condolences for the earthquakes in Croatia, which caused the death of people.
