Less than 5,000 new cases of coronavirus detected in Ukraine in the last day
The most difficult situation with the coronavirus is now observed in the Nikolaev and Zaporozhye regions, as well as in Kiev.
In Ukraine, the incidence rate of the COVID-19 coronavirus is 287.9 per 100,000 inhabitants. This is more than seven times higher than the norm, which is 40 cases of the disease, according to the Ministry of Health on Sunday, January 3.
The most difficult situation is observed in the regions of Nikolaev (495.5), Zaporozhye (464.3) and in Kiev (423.9). The best situation is in the regions of Kirovograd (84.1), Transcarpathia (110.7) and Ivano-Frankivsk (120.8).
Hospital bed occupancy for coronavirus patients continues to decline. As of January 2, 33.3% of the vacancies are occupied in the country. Most of the beds are occupied in the Nikolaev region: 49%. In Kiev, 39% of the seats are occupied. A total of 65,948 beds have already been put into operation in the country.
At the same time, two weeks ago in Ukraine, the incidence rate of the coronavirus was 378.9 per 100,000 inhabitants. This is more than nine times the norm, which is 40 cases of the disease.
Recall that during the last 24 hours in Ukraine 4,576 new cases of COVID-19 were detected. 6,250 people recovered and 123 patients died.
Furthermore, the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine predicted that the incidence of the coronavirus in Ukraine will decrease by the end of December.
