COVID-19 in Ukraine: the incidence rate exceeded more than 7 times

In Ukraine, the incidence rate of the coronavirus is 287.9 ​​per 100,000 inhabitants. This is more than 7 times higher than the norm, which is 40 cases of the disease.

This is evidenced by data from the Ministry of Health.

The worst morbidity situation is observed in the regions of Nikolaev (495.5), Zaporozhye (464.3) and Kiev (423.9). The best situation is in the regions of Kirovograd (84.1), Transcarpathia (110.7) and Ivano-Frankivsk (120.8).

Additionally, the occupancy of hospital beds for coronavirus patients continues to decline. As of January 2, 33.3% of the vacancies are occupied in the country. Most of the beds are occupied in the Nikolaev region: 49%. In Kiev, 39% of hospital beds are occupied. A total of 65,948 beds have already been put into operation in the country.

Recall that in Ukraine at the end of December, the incidence rate of the coronavirus was 323.7 per 100,000 inhabitants. This is more than 8 times higher than the norm, which is 40 cases of the disease.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, 4,576 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the country during the last day. Among the sick are 172 medical workers.
