The average monthly temperature in January 2021 will be higher than usual, forecasters predict.

«The average monthly temperature is expected to be 0-4 ° frosts, in the southern part in some places 1-3 ° hot, 2-2.5 ° higher than the long-term average values ​​”, reports the Ukrhydrometeorological Center .

Monthly rainfall is expected at the level of 27-58 mm, in the Carpathians in places up to 75 mm, in the Crimean mountains up to 122 mm, which is within the long-term average values.

Earlier, the Boris Sreznevsky Central Geophysical Observatory reported that the year in Kiev ended with temperature records.

In particular, according to observations from the observatory’s meteorological station, on December 30 in Kiev, for the first time in 140 years, the average daily air temperature was + 5.3 ° C, which is 0.7 ° C higher than the temperature record for this day in 1913. The climatic norm was exceeded by 7.3 ° C, which corresponds to the weather at the end of October.
