On Saturday January 2, Russian People’s Artist Vladimir Korenev, known for his leading role in the movie “Amphibian Man”, died.
The daughter of the artist Irina Koreneva told it, reports “Interfax”.
“He died, yes. Before his death, he was in the ‘red zone’ with the coronavirus,” he said.
Let’s clarify that Korenev was born on June 20, 1940 in Sevastopol. In 1957 he joined GITIS in the workshop of People’s Artist of the RSFSR Grigory Konsky and People’s Artist of the USSR Olga Androvskaya.
In his final year, Korenev got the main role in Vladimir Chebotarev’s film “Amphibian Man”, which brought him great fame. In addition to her, the artist participated in films such as “Light from a distant star”, “Children of Don Quixote”, “Children of the country”, Liberation “and others.
In 1961 Korenev joined the Moscow Dramatic Theater troupe named after KS Stanislavsky, where he was a prominent artist.
