On the night of December 31 to January 1, the deputy chief of one of the Attorney General’s departments died, Bukva reports, citing prosecution sources.
According to the report, a guard from the Brech suburban complex in the Chernihiv region around 2 pm on January 1 addressed the police. He said the body of a 42-year-old deputy director of one of the Attorney General’s departments was found near the recreation center.
According to preliminary data, the official was on vacation at the base with his 36-year-old wife, who also works at the Attorney General’s Office. At approximately 3.30 in the morning on January 1, the man headed into the forest. Upon returning from there around 5 in the morning, he stopped and began to remove his clothes, which was recorded by the surveillance cameras of one of the private houses.
The circumstances of the man’s death are still unknown. Sources say that no visible bodily injuries were found on the man’s body, as well as traces of a fight, and hypothermia is called the preliminary cause of death.
