Kharkiv City Council Secretary Igor Terekhov asked the Verkhovna Rada to appoint an early election of the city’s mayor.
This was reported by the local television channel ATN. “We did everything in the manner prescribed by law,” Terekhov said.
In this regard, the former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, Mikhail Dobkin, wrote in his Telegram that “despite all the speculations” a call for early elections has been presented and he will run for the post of city chief.
“You will not be able to delay the elections for the maximum period, you are our crafty bathtubs, it will have to be held in March. And yes, Dobkin is becoming mayor,” he said.
Note that on December 30, in a comment to the Public, Terekhov announced that he was going to sign the corresponding appeal on December 31, when the period of 15 days provided by law would pass. After that, they would send him to the Verkhovna Rada.
