As a result, the security forces had to withdraw and control access to the event site in anticipation of reinforcements.

Police have not yet officially provided details of the incident.

France has a coronavirus curfew, whose rules prohibit any New Year celebrations outside of your home.

Le Figaro notes that there have been smaller incidents in other cities. In particular, in Marseille, the police stopped a party for about 300 people, 150 of them were fined 135 euros and three organizers were imprisoned on charges of actions that threaten the lives of other people.
