On January 1 at 1:35 p.m., a chairlift stopped at the Slavske ski resort in the Lviv region. There are 74 people in it.

This was reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service on social networks.

It is observed that the elevator stopped due to the failure of the transformer substation. Workers at the site are also trying to start the power generator.

“By Starting at 2:20 p.m., the mining rescue units of the State Emergency Service began to work to remove tourists from the ski lift. There are about 70 people in the elevator. The air temperature is 1 degree Celsius “, they inform the State Emergency Service.

16 rescuers work on site and 2 teams are used. In addition, another 11 employees of the State Emergency Service were sent.

UPD 15:30 At 15:00, DSNS units rescued 29 people from the chairlift, including 5 children. The work continues.
