In Ukraine, the minimum wage has increased since January 1. This is clear from law 1082-IX on the state budget for 2021 that came into force.

According to the document, the minimum wage as of January 2021 has been set at 6000 UAH per month. The minimum wage in Ukraine in 2020 was 5000 UAH.

In 2021, the minimum hourly wage will be 36.11 UAH, in 2020 it was 29.2 UAH.

Another increase in the minimum wage in 2021 to 6.5 thousand UAH per month and to 39.12 UAH per hour was postponed from July 1 to December 1, 2021.

On December 25, 2020, Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on the state budget for 2021. Budgetary revenue amounting to 1,084 trillion UAH is forecast. State budget expenditures: 1.320 trillion UAH. The maximum volume of the deficit was determined at the level of 246.6 billion UAH.

The Verkhovna Rada passed the law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2021 on December 15. Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko, introducing the bill, said that in the second reading the deficit had been reduced to 246.6 billion UAH. Part of income – UAH 1.092 trillion, expenses – at the level of UAH 1.347 trillion. The same data was provided by the website of the Ministry of Finance after the vote in parliament.
