In Ukraine, from January 1, 2021, the minimum wage was increased from 5 to 6 thousand UAH. The net amount will be 4,830 UAH (after payment of income tax and military duties).

According to the law on the state budget for 2021, next time the minimum wage will be raised to 6.5 thousand UAH only in December. Before the January increase, the “net” minimum wage was 4025 UAH.

According to the State Statistics Service, in Ukraine 27.2% of employees officially receive less than 6000 UAH. All of them can expect an increase from January 1. Among them are public sector workers, who receive supplements to their salaries in envelopes.

At the same time, most experts agree that the average wages of Ukrainians will increase in any case.

How Average Wages Will Grow:

  • in 2021: 13,632 UAH;

  • in 2022: UAH 15,414;

  • in 2023: 17,169 UAH.

However, it must be taken into account that inflation will be around 7.4%. For example, if you currently receive 13 thousand hryvnyas, then next year the salary should be about 14 thousand. In this case, the increase will cover the inflation rate, otherwise, the real income will decrease.

As OBOZREVATEL reported, Ukraine has reached a new all-time high in terms of average monthly salary in dollars: $ 428.
