A foreigner was arrested in Kiev on suspicion of selling cocaine, the cost of drugs seized on the “black market” is estimated at around 2.5 million hryvnia.
This was reported on the Facebook page of the Kiev police.
Law enforcement officers have established that a 48-year-old foreigner was bringing 300 grams of cocaine to the capital for the purpose of selling it. The man was detained in accordance with article 208 of the Ukrainian Code of Criminal Procedure.
The detainee was informed of the suspicion of a crime under article 307 (3) (Illegal production, manufacture, acquisition, storage, transport, transfer or sale of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues in particularly high quantities) of the Penal Code.
The attacker faces up to 12 years in prison with confiscation of assets.
As reported by “Apostrophe”, Odessa customs officials at the Starokozachye checkpoint seized 54 kg of cocaine. The value of the seized on the black market is estimated at more than $ 12 million.
