Serbia has issued a permit for the use of a Russian-made COVID-19 Sputnik V vaccine. This was announced on Thursday, December 31, by the representative of the pharmaceutical regulator Pavle Delic, writes the Tanjug agency.

According to Delic, the vaccine meets all legal requirements and statutes, confirming its quality, efficacy, and safety.

The permit was issued for the importation of 2.4 thousand doses of the Russian vaccine.

According to the Secretary of State of the Serbian Ministry of Health, Mirsad Jerlek, they plan to vaccinate with Sputnik V in the country after the New Year.

It was previously reported that Prime Minister Ana Brnabic was the first to be vaccinated in Serbia. The Pfizer vaccine was used.
