Threats to Shabunin: the second explosive device is similar to the first

The explosive device placed by the parents of the activist’s wife, Vitaly Shabunin, consists of F-1 grenade bodies without fuses, held together with duct tape. This was reported by the Kiev prosecutor’s office on Thursday, December 31.

On the morning of December 31, a message was received on line 102 at the door of the apartment on the street. Yakub Kolos, whom he rents, has a package with two items that look like grenades. The rented apartment belongs to the parents of the wife of “a public figure in the fight against corruption,” writes the prosecution.

Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene of the call found the bodies of F-1 grenades without fuses taped up. These items will be submitted for your review. The event was classified under the article of threat of murder. Investigation actions continue, the people involved in the crime are being identified.

We recall that earlier in Rivne, near the apartment of the activist Shabunin’s mother, explosives were found. An improvised explosive device, consisting of two grenades and a black box, was found under the door.

It later turned out that there were no explosives in the grenades near Shabunin’s mother’s apartment. Two grenades in a package near Shabunin’s mother’s Rovno apartment turned out to be non-combat. The case is open.
