Russia uses military power against Ukraine to impose itself

Russia is not a direct threat to the NATO countries. But it is trying to assert itself through military action against Ukraine and Georgia.

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview with Le Point.

He noted that Russia does not pose a direct military threat to the alliance. But he emphasized the involvement of the Russian Federation in cyber attacks in Germany and Norway, as well as the use of chemicals to kill people in the United Kingdom.

“I don’t see an immediate threat from Russia in the form of a military attack. But I do see a self-asserting Russia. It uses its military power against its neighbors, Georgia and Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba promised to turn the “hellish” issue of Crimea for the Russian Federation. According to him, the Kremlin is already reacting very nervously to Ukraine’s initiative to create the Crimean platform.

It was also reported that the Russian Federation has expanded the list of sanctions against Germany. These measures were taken in connection with sanctions previously imposed by the European Union for a cyberattack on the German parliament (Bundestag).
