Until I have to pay without a visa
The introduction of paid permits to enter the European Union was postponed until 2022. They will be issued at 7 euros for three years.
The introduction of a payment permit to enter the European Union without a visa for Ukrainian citizens was postponed for a year. This was reported by the Ukrainian delegation to the EU, writes Ukrainian News on Thursday, December 31.
“The actual implementation of the European Travel Authorization Information System (ETIAS) is expected to take place in 2022. Previously, the date was 2021, but the European Union postponed this deadline until 2022. Only in 2022, citizens from Ukraine must complete an ETIAS application before traveling to the European Union, “says the message.
The permit will be valid for 3 years or until the expiration of the passport to travel up to 90 days. In case of refusal of entry through the system, it will be possible to appeal against your decision.
The Representation explains that the pre-authorization will allow the preventive identification of persons who may pose a threat to migration or security, and will increase the security of the EU borders.
The price of the entry permit was supposed to be 7 euros.
Note that Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba believes that the only problem with visa-free travel with the EU is the coronavirus pandemic.
