Police quickly detained the lawyer’s kidnappers

The schoolboy witnessed the kidnapping of a suspect of Mikitasha. The boy called the mother and she called the police. The kidnappers were quickly arrested.

A teenager and his mother helped catch former Ukrbud owner Maxim Mikitas, who is charged with kidnapping. This story was told by the Deputy Minister of the Interior, Anton Gerashchenko, on Facebook.

According to him, a 12-year-old schoolboy witnessed how two men forcefully push a third into a jeep and take them somewhere. He called his mother and told her he was scared. And the woman, in turn, reported the incident to the police.

“So the police worked suspiciously fast. Was everything prepared too? By the logic of Mikitashi and his defenders – of course!” Added.

Gerashchenko thanked the boy and his mother for their indifference.

According to the police, the former owner of Ukrbud was the client of the kidnapping of the lawyer who provided the services.

Commenting on the new suspicion, NABU testified about possible pressure on Mikitasya.

The police in response to this noted that Mikitashu’s suspected kidnapping and extortion had nothing to do with the investigation of the corruption offenses in which he was involved.

Yesterday the former popular deputy could not choose a preventive measure in this case. The new court session takes place today.
