Samuel Little, 80, was serving a life sentence in the United States for three murders. After the verdict, he confessed to dozens of other crimes.
On December 30, Samuel Little, 80, considered the most massive serial killer in the United States, died in the US state of California. The Associated Press reported this on December 31 with reference to the California Department of Corrections.
Little died in the hospital with diabetes, heart problems, and other illnesses. The cause of death has yet to be identified.
Little was arrested in 2012 in Kentucky and extradited to California. On charges of three murders, he was sentenced to life in prison in the fall of 2014. At the same time, police suspected he was involved “in dozens of murders across the United States.”
2.5 years ago, Little confessed to 93 murders between 1970 and 2005. At this time, law enforcement officers have verified and confirmed his testimony for 50 episodes. The FBI believes that all information provided to those convicted is “reliable.”
In prison, the murderer painted portraits of his victims, indicated the approximate year and the place of the crime.
According to the FBI, almost all of the victims were strangled. Initially, law enforcement officials labeled some of the deaths as accidents or drug overdoses.
