NBU: Foreign investment is leaving Ukraine

In the first quarter of 2020, an outflow of $ 1,549 million.

In the third quarter, $ 49 million of foreign investment from Ukraine was withdrawn, in the last quarter – $ 50 million.

During the last quarter, another $ 50 million was withdrawn from Ukraine. From the beginning of the year to September, foreign direct investment in the country decreased by $ 343 million, reports the press service of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU).

At the same time, it is observed that in the third quarter the capital outflow amounted to $ 49 million.

According to the regulator, in the first quarter of this year there was an outflow of $ 1,549 million, in the second quarter of 2020, the inflow was $ 1,255 million.

We will recall, we previously reported that $ 1.6 billion of investments came out of Ukraine.

We add that the concessions brought to Ukraine UAH 3.7 billion of investments. This practice gives Ukraine the tools “to attract large investors who are willing to invest more than 20 million euros in Ukrainian companies,” says the Ministry of Economy.
