The Attorney General responded to media reports that she allegedly blocks suspicions in the Privat case.
Attorney General Irina Venediktova claims that recently the PrivatBank case has started to move in the direction necessary for the investigation. This is how he reacted to the information that the Attorney General’s Office was allegedly blocking the suspicions in this case.
“This is a source or a manipulator, or a liar. I have no right to reveal the secret of the investigation, but in general terms I can reassure society: all the necessary steps have been taken, procedural decisions have been made, the case it has started to move in the right direction, “Venediktova said.
Recall, recently Venediktova became a member of prosecutor groups in three main proceedings on Privat cases.
Earlier it was learned that the case on the nationalization of PrivatBank was reopened. The Northern Commercial Court of Appeal overturned the Kiev Economic Court’s decision to suspend consideration of the claim by former PrivatBank owners Igor Kolomoisky and Triantal Investments to return the shares.
