As a result of the earthquake in Croatia on Tuesday December 29, part of the country’s capital Zagreb was left without electricity, a kindergarten collapsed. People walk with their loved ones.

The earthquake was felt throughout Croatia, as well as in neighboring countries, in particular, in Slovenia and Austria. The mayor of Petrigny (the city that suffered the most from the tremors) Darinko Dumbovic asked for urgent help.
“We got people out of cars. We don’t know if there were any casualties. I heard that the kindergarten collapsed, but luckily, there were no children in it … People are looking for their loved ones in a panic,” Dumbovich said.
He added that he had spoken with Prime Minister Andrei Plenkovich and said that the latter immediately went to Petrinha.
In addition, the Slovenian authorities shut down the country’s only “Krško” nuclear power plant as a precautionary measure after an earthquake struck in neighboring Croatia, the AFP news agency reports on its Twitter.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake was the strongest in the country this year. Seismologists warn that tremors of this magnitude could cause significant damage near the epicenter. In the video we posted above, you can see the rubble that collapsed from the buildings.
