Eight nursing home employees received five times the dose of the coronavirus vaccine

In Germany, during a mass vaccination campaign against the coronavirus, eight nursing home employees received a dose of vaccine five times higher than necessary. Reported by Reuters.
Seven women and one man, ages 38 to 54, overdosed on the vaccine. They all worked in a nursing home located in the city of Stralsund, in northeastern Germany.
Four post-vaccination doctors developed mild flu symptoms, after which they were hospitalized for further observation. So far, people who have received five times the dose of the vaccine have reported no serious side effects.
Doctors are known to have received the BioNTech-Pfizer vaccine.
“I deeply sympathize with what happened. This individual case is associated with individual errors. I hope that all those affected do not have serious side effects,” said district leader Stefan Kert.
It should be noted that the incident occurred after some parts of Germany reported refusal to use a vaccine received over the weekend on suspicion of improper storage.
