In Germany, they finished laying the pipes of the Russian Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline, having laid 2.6 km in a month.
This is reported by the Russian edition of RBC.
Nord Stream 2 said that it has finished placing itself in the German Exclusive Economic Zone. Now there is only one section of Nord Stream 2 in Denmark. Works in the Danish economic zone are scheduled to start in mid-January. According to S&P Platts, it is necessary to install about 147 km of the gas pipeline there.

Previously, information emerged that the Russian pipelayer Fortuna left the work area for the completion of Nord Stream 2 in Germany’s exclusive economic zone on the night of December 25-26.
In December this year, Russia resumed construction of the Nord Stream 2. Now the gas pipeline is more than 90% ready.
Since December 2019, sanctions have been imposed on foreign operators of pipe-laying vessels Nord Stream 2, as a result of which the Swiss-Dutch company Allseas has stopped the laying of pipes underwater.
In December 2020, the US Congress passed additional sanctions on Nord Stream 2. They may affect insurers of pipelaying vessels for the pipeline and organizations that certify the pipeline before putting it into operation. Later, Reuters, citing high-level sources in the White House, reported that the United States was preparing to inflict «fatal blow “in Nord Stream-2.
