Exchange rate of December 29: the dollar grows in Ukraine

Before the New Year, the hryvnia exchange rate weakened by two kopecks against the dollar and by nine kopecks against the euro.

On December 29, the National Bank set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar at 28.37 hryvnia to the dollar. This is demonstrated by the data on the regulator’s website on Monday, December 28.

Therefore, the hryvnia has weakened by two kopecks compared to the previous indicator.

At the same time, the official exchange rate of the hryvnia to the euro on Tuesday was set at 34.65 hryvnia / euro, that is, the hryvnia has weakened by nine kopecks compared to the previous figure.

The exchange rate of the hryvnia against world currencies on December 29 looks like this:

• 100 USD US – 28.37 (December 28 – 28.35)

• 100 EUR – 34.65 (December 28 – 34.56)

At the same time, on the interbank foreign exchange market, the quotations of the hryvnia against the dollar settled at the level of UAH 28.31 / 28.33 / USD, against the euro – at the level of UAH 34.58 / 34.61 / euro.

Recall that previously the expert announced the forecast of the dollar exchange rate at the end of the year. Ukraine will have a long weekend, which will reduce activity in the foreign exchange market. The exchange rate of the hryvnia should be stable.
