A 19-year-old Kyiv resident wearing a cap with ear flaps with communist symbols was arrested in Lviv. The young man faces up to five years in prison, according to police in the Lviv region.
The Kievite was arrested around 4.30pm in one of the cafes. They took off a cap with a cockade representing a red star, a sickle and a hammer.

“I asked them where they got this symbolism from. They said they bought it at a flea market because it was cold. They said they didn’t know that symbolism was forbidden. We did some explanatory work. It turned out that they were Russian-speaking Kyiv residents,” Sholtis said.
