The Golos party faction in the Verkhovna Rada changed leaders: instead of Sergei Rachmanin, it will be headed by Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

Rakhmanin was the initiator of the leadership change. He explained his decision by the need to focus on legislative work, as well as issues related to national security, as he is a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence.
“My knowledge and experience should be used to the maximum in this area, taking into account the fact that there are politicians in the faction who are able to manage the faction effectively. He added that the presidency of the faction is not a privilege for life or a life sentence, and leadership rotation is not only normal, but also a necessary process for a young political force, where there are a sufficient number of bright and self-sufficient personalities. .
Zheleznyak said he had previously served many organizational roles as deputy director of the faction, but now “he will have even more responsibility to his colleagues for trust.”
The 31-year-old people’s deputy also added that he would be not only the youngest faction leader in the history of parliament, but also effective for the Golos team.
