The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine received evidence of the collection of incriminating information in connection with the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Colonel Kirill Budanov, to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.

As reported in military intelligence, in December 2020, a conversation was intercepted between two representatives of the FSB of the Russian Federation, who are in the temporarily occupied Simferopol and Donetsk.

According to the GUR, they discussed the search for information about the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Kirill Budanov and his transfer to the leadership of the FSB of the Russian Federation, which specializes in conducting sabotage and special operations.

Intelligence declassified the telephone conversation and the identity of its participants. The interlocutors are former employees of the SBU Main Directorate in Crimea, Alexander Nikolayevich Sklyanko and Nikolai Sergeevich Chernykh, who, after the occupation of Crimea, changed their oaths and joined the FSB of the Russian Federation.
