In the warehouses of the Ministry of Health, there are no conditions to store vaccines or medicines at a temperature of -80 degrees, said Lyashko.
Ukraine has found a solution to the problem of transporting and storing vaccines against a new type of coronavirus infection. This was announced on Sunday, December 27, by the chief medical officer Viktor Lyashko on the air of channel Ukraine 24.
“Before that, the 80 degree temperature has never been used in immunization. We have raised our national warehouses, which are in the Ministry of Health, where we really do not have the conditions to store such vaccines or medicines at a temperature of 80 degrees. We have started work with private logistics. pharmaceutical companies and they came to us with commercial proposals. And in our country, in domestic warehouses, there is the possibility of storage, logistics, transportation to vaccination points and a storage temperature of 80 degrees ”, he said.
The Chief Medical Officer explained how the vaccine will be transported and stored.
“What is the logic here: the vaccine arrives by plane, we transport it from the car to the warehouse in a thermo container with dry ice, then it is loaded into refrigerators where it can be stored for a long time. Next, we calculate how and in what quantity this vaccine should be brought to the vaccination point, and at the vaccination station it can be stored for 5 days at a temperature of +2 … 8 degrees, “said Lyashko.
A plan for vaccinating Ukrainians against coronavirus was approved the day before, according to him, they plan to start vaccination in January and intend to vaccinate 20 million people in a year. At the same time, only people from the so-called risk group are listed in the vaccination plan.
We also write that in Germany, scammers are extorting six thousand euros for a free COVID vaccine. Apparently, the employees of a pharmaceutical company call the elderly and offer to buy the first package of vaccine for a large sum.
