The suspect has been arrested. It turned out that the day before he had received a large batch of narcotic substances in the mail, which he was going to distribute in the form of markers in Nikolaev.

In Nikolaev, in a rented apartment, the police found a large quantity of narcotic drugs and containers for their packaging. The total amount seized at “black market” prices is about 250 thousand hryvnia, according to the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers searched the 24-year-old man on Sunday, December 27. The owner of the apartment, who came to check the premises, informed the police that there were drugs in the living space.

“In the apartment during the investigative actions, the police found about 400 pieces of plastic vials with psychotropics, about 250 grams of amphetamine, about 150 grams of cannabis, zip-lock bags with white and purple crystalline substances (salts narcotic), which weighed about 50 grams, electronic scales – 3 pieces with layers of a white powdery substance, “says the message.

In addition, packaging materials for narcotic substances were also seized: 20 thousand zip packages, about 90 rolls of insulating tape, wide tableware with a layer of white powder, plastic containers with residues of precursors, as well as a consignment note from the company. post office, where it is stated, that the attacker received a package of drugs on Sunday morning.

“Overall, the cost of goods seized at ‘black market’ prices is 250,000 UAH,” the ministry said.

The security forces added that the defendant intended to distribute drugs in the form of markers on Nikolaev’s territory.

Investigative actions continue. Physical evidence was seized and sent for examination. The suspect was arrested under art. 208 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine.

It was previously reported that service dogs discovered a penny of drugs in one year. Almost half of all border arrests involve dogs. Over 11 months, more than 400 criminals were arrested with his help.

We also add that Odessa customs officials seized more than 50 kg of cocaine. The drugs were in a container with bananas that came from South America and were en route to the Republic of Moldova.
