The day before, the Whistleblower said that the lake at Globa Park overflowed. The water rose above the usual level by about 1.5 meters, so the sidewalks were flooded and the ducks took over the trails.
The park lake is artificial, it has a mechanism to drain excess water, which did not work. There are many reasons. The activists believe that the mechanism is stuck, while in the park they believe that the fault is the large amount of rainfall. The informant went to the park to check on how things were going there on December 27.
Today, two pumps were installed here, which were connected to the sewer. The pumps draw water from the lake. However, this has not yet corrected the situation. The water keeps flooding the sidewalk and the ducks swimming where the trails used to be. People have to navigate the flooded area on the ground.
Let us remind you that the problem with rising water levels at Globy Park Lake recurs periodically. The last time we reported this was in October. The plan for the reconstruction of the park was published this spring. Among other things, they planned to pump water out of the reservoir and remove silt from the bottom.
