Germany has launched a vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. On Saturday, December 26, residents of a nursing home in Halberstadt were vaccinated.
Reported by Bild.
The first dose of Pfizer was given to Edith Quuzalla, 101, who lives in the nursing home. The rest of the institution’s residents and staff were also vaccinated.
The vaccination campaign in Germany will officially begin on Sunday, December 27 at 7:00 am local time. The first to be vaccinated will be people 80 years of age and older, nursing home residents, nurses and doctors at risk of infection.
442 vaccination centers will operate in Germany for vaccination.
Vaccination has also started today in Hungary. The country, like Germany, began vaccinating people the day before the official start of the vaccination campaign across the European Union.
In addition, the Israeli government hopes to reach at least 150 thousand coronaviruses vaccinated per day. Millions of Israelis should receive their first dose of vaccine in a month.
