Naftogaz noted that the company’s blue fuel price in January “traditionally remains below the market average.”

In August, Naftogaz raised the price of gas for the population to 3.24 UAH per m³. The company explained this by the fact that the market is entering a season of high prices before the heating season. In September and October, the price of gas increased to 4.70 UAH per m³. In addition, Naftogaz has raised the annual price of gas for the population from 4.73 UAH per m³ to 5.24 UAH per m³. Since November, the company decided to increase the price of gas for domestic consumers by another 34.7%, to 6.33 UAH per m³. In December, compared to November, the price of gas for domestic customers did not change, for thermal utilities, the wholesale price rose by 873.28 UAH per 1,000 m³ – to 7323.72 UAH.

According to Andrey Kobolev, director of Naftogaz Ukrainy, today the company offers gas at a lower price than in the last three years, and up to 40% cheaper than other suppliers.
