Law enforcement officers tracked down the abused dog and took him to the veterinary hospital
A 16-year-old boy put the animal in a bag and began beating it with a metal tube. All of this was seen and filmed by a 14-year-old girl. As it turned out, the dog survived.
In the Lviv region, the police opened criminal proceedings against two teenagers for cruelty to an animal. This is reported by the regional police.
Information about the fact of beating a dog was found today by law enforcement officers on social networks, where the death of the animal was reported for the first time.
“Law enforcement officers began to verify this fact. Soon the police identified the attackers; they turned out to be a 16-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, residents of the Brody district,” the message says.
Law enforcement officers found that on December 23 at around 5:00 p.m. in a garbage dump near one of the district’s villages, a schoolboy put a dog in a bag and hit the animal several times with a metal tube. His underage friend was an eyewitness.
Law enforcement officers found the beaten dog and took him to the veterinary hospital, nothing threatens the animal’s life.
On this fact, investigators from the Brody Police Department under the procedural leadership of the Radekhiv local prosecutor’s office initiated criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 299 of the Penal Code (“cruelty to animals”).
The maximum punishment provided by the sanction of the article is the restriction of freedom for up to three years.
Earlier on social media, it was reported that in the Lviv region, teenagers put a dog in a bag and beat it, the dog whimpered in pain. Later, it was reported that the animal died.
