A Ukrainian with an average salary (12 thousand UAH) will give more than 47.8 thousand UAH for retirement per year. In general, you will have to pay 106.1 thousand UAH in taxes.

This is clear from the calculator developed by the public organization CASE Ukraine. So, in addition to the tax on the unified social contribution in the amount of 22% of wages, Ukrainians also give part of their taxes to pay the deficit of the Pension Fund. Another 3 thousand UAH per year should go to social protection, more than 4.8 thousand UAH to education.

How much do Ukrainians give to the state?

Note that every Ukrainian pays taxes on his income, in addition, they are included in the cost of all goods and services. The state pays pensions, salaries, funds for medicines, education, etc. on taxes collected.

It should be noted that each Ukrainian spends about 4.2 thousand UAH on drugs per year. At the same time, only the interest on state loans already taken for each worker with an average salary costs 3.6 thousand UAH. At the same time, only 2.6 thousand hryvnias per person are spent in the armed forces.

As previously reported by OBOZREVATEL, in Ukraine, 289 votes of the Servant of the People, for the Maybutne and Batkivshchyna factions approved the country’s budget for 2021. Faced with pressure from international creditors, it was decided to cut the budget for pensions and salaries, while spending on drugs did not increase, as requested by the corresponding department.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky December 25 signed the Law “On the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021”, which the Verkhovna Rada adopted on December 15.
