In Zaporozhye, a man jumped off a new bridge

On Friday, December 25, there was a tragedy on the girder bridge in Zaporozhye, the inauguration of which took place the day before with the participation of President Volodymyr Zelensky. A 45-year-old man died of an accident while jumping off a bridge.

This is reported on the Instagram page “This is Zaporozhye”.

The man was taking a taxi from Baburka district and asked to stop on the pretext that he was feeling unwell. Then he jumped off the girder bridge and died. The man’s identity is being established as his body has not yet been found.

Recall that the Zaporizhzhya Bridge, which is more than 9 kilometers long, consists of six transport interchanges, including 27 man-made structures. The works began in April 2020 and the first part of the bridge was opened eight months later. According to Zelensky, they want to completely finish the bridge in 2021.
