He claims that the entourage of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is convincing the head of state that it is possible to mobilize women and men in the event of a new Russian attack. However, if this can be done in theory, it will not happen in practice.

«that [окружение президента] tell the president they can do it [массово мобилизовать женщин и мужчин в случае нового нападения России]… And we, who went through this and saw it in our reality, understand that even if in theory we can mobilize women and men, are these people trained to have weapons in their hands? No. Do these people want to do this? No, ”said Krivonos.

According to Major General, patriotism in Ukraine «not supported at the state level ”and 2014 is an indicator. Krivonos believes that the state should educate the mobilization reserve, particularly ideologically.

«Our patriotism is not supported at the state level, and 2014 showed that a large number of [мобилизованных] I was going [воевать], but even more – he fled the mobilization. Run away. And 2018, when martial law was declared, it also showed that a large number fled [от мобилизации]… Therefore, the State must educate this reserve of mobilization, and also ideologically. This is not accomplished in one year. This is first, ”said the undersecretary of the National Defense and Security Council.

Krivonos also pointed out that, even having fully mobilized people, they must learn what and how on the battlefield:

«Second, we must understand that, even having mobilized people, we must teach them. Because we do not fight with the meat, we do not abandon tens of thousands of people. On the other hand, look at the experience of the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan. It showed that a small number of personnel in interaction with the team, with properly planned operations, can achieve high results. Therefore, a large number of mobilized people will not solve the problem of the ability to resist the enemy. “

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in an interview with Focus, said that in the event of a Russian attack on Ukraine from Crimea temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation, «there will be a great war ”and general mobilization of men and women.

In February-March 2014, Russia occupied Crimea and also instigated separatists in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, following which it launched a direct military invasion in August 2014 and February 2015.

Russia continues to fuel the war in Donbas with money and weapons, creating a full-fledged army in the occupied regions, made up of professional Russian military personnel, citizens of the Russian Federation and local separatist elements.

As a result of the Russian aggression, more than 10,000 Ukrainians died, more than 20,000 were injured, and 1.8 million Ukrainians became internally displaced.

International organizations recognized the occupation of Crimea as illegal and condemned Russia’s actions. Additionally, Western countries in response to Russian aggression against Ukraine introduced anti-Russian sectoral and personal economic sanctions.
