The Verkhovna Rada will pass bill No. 3612 on democracy through a referendum no earlier than February 2021.
As the head of the Servants of the People faction David Arakhamia said in a comment to Interfax-Ukraine, they initially wanted to vote on the document in December.
“But since there are 2,000 amendments, it is necessary to work with their authors so that they withdraw them or do not insist too much on their consideration, that is, they do not block the approval of the law,” he said.
Arahamia predicted that the bill would pass in February.
After that, there will be more initiatives on an electronic referendum, local referendums, as well as the whole package of bills on democracy.
Furthermore, according to the Popular Deputy, the Rada needs to develop an electronic voting model by the end of 2021, at least at the local level.
