No side effects of the Sputnik V vaccine are seen in 85% of those vaccinated, the director of the Center for Drug Development said Thursday, December 24. Gamalei Alexander Gunzburg, writes TASS.

“Based on the three phases of the trials, the following was recorded: 85% of those vaccinated have no side effects,” he said.

Gunzburg specified that in 15% of those vaccinated “the redness is fixed at the injection site, a slight headache that disappears in 24 hours.” “The biggest discomfort that can arise is a temperature of up to 38 degrees for two days, which is eliminated with a paracetamol tablet,” he said.

He also said that by the end of the year about one and a half million Russians will be vaccinated with the vaccine.

Vaccination in Russia began in early December.
