Ukrainians will be able to celebrate the New Year in cafes and restaurants
The Council of Ministers has modified the resolution on restrictions, allowing the work of the institutions until seven in the morning.
The government amended the quarantine decree, allowing restaurants and cafes to operate the night of January 1 until 7 a.m.
“To amend paragraph 2 of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of December 9, 2020 No. 1236 on the establishment of quarantine and the introduction of restrictive measures against the epidemic to prevent the spread of acute respiratory disease COVID- 19 caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Ukraine, replacing in paragraph 12 the number and the words up to 1 o’clock with the number and the words “until 7 o’clock,” the message says.
Please note, according to the above decree, as of December 19, the work of restaurants, cafes, bars and other establishments is prohibited after 23:00 and until 07:00. At the same time, it allowed the activities of the institutions on New Year’s Eve until 01:00.
It was previously reported that more than half of Ukrainians support the closure of January. 56% of respondents supported the winter closure, 41% are not satisfied with its introduction. 60% disapprove of the president’s job during a pandemic.
